Bimota’s alternative suspension Tesi concept has been around since the first production model was released in 1991. Over the years a variety of Ducati engines have powered this flagship sportbike, but that all changed in 2019 when Kawasaki acquired a minority share (49 percent) in the small Italian company.
The result of this marriage was stuffing the 998cc supercharged Kawasaki H2 engine into the Tesi chassis. The resulting bike is the Tesi H2. With its hub-steered front swingarm design and 228 hp engine, it is one of the most exclusive and unique motorcycles on the market today.
While the engine, electronics, wiring, and systems are all Kawasaki, the frameless chassis, which is essentially a pair of front and rear billet-aluminum and carbon fiber swingarms bolted to the engine, is all Bimota. Top-of-the-line Öhlins shocks control the suspension, while Brembo Stylema front calipers and 330mm discs get this road missile stopped.
Of course at $69,500, you expect some bling, and that is delivered in the form of beautiful carbon fiber bodywork with functional front winglets, tons of carbon fiber and billet-aluminum pieces, and beautiful finishes.
There are currently just two Bimota dealers in the US, Bimota Spirit in Raleigh, North Carolina, and EuroCycle in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 2024 Bimota Tesi H2 is available in red/white, or all carbon fiber for $69,500.
