Check Out The World's Largest Motorcycle Museum!

The largest motorcycle museum on the planet gets...well, even larger.

Just look at all those bikes...Honda GB500, Harley-Davidson XR-1000...Honda CBR600 F2...the list goes on!Photo: Barber Motorsports Park

During the last couple years, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum and the Barber Motorsports Park have made many facility improvements, the most recent of which being the addition of 85,000 square feet of space to the museum itself, making it more than a quarter-million square feet in total! In 2014, Guinness World Records recognized the Barber Museum as the largest motorcycle museum in the world.

The Barber Motorsports Park includes a multi-configurable track, classrooms, a second wet/dry skidpad, an obstacle course, and a 50-acre off-road course — as if we needed any more reasons to want to go back. Check out some of these drool-worthy photos.

This old thing? Oh, that's nothing, just a 1968 Matchless G-50 in a Rickman-Mettisse road frame. This is history right here, folks. Did anyone catch the Honda CR110 in the background?Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
Here's a super-cool 500cc, OHV single-cylinder Jawa Ice racer. There's no mistaking them, just look at the left side of the handlebar and the crazy angle it's at — done so that the rider can lean the bike on its side in the corners. Oh, and no brakes. Why would you need those? Side note: mega points for anyone who noticed the '84 Honda RS750 just barely visible on the left-hand side of the photo before I said something about it here.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
What's better than one Britten V-twin? Two Britten V-twins! What's better than two Britten V-twins? Three! What's better than...ok, I'll stop — but you get the picture.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
The adjacent Motorsports Track is one of the nicest tracks in the country. Sign me up!Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
Some people have bookshelves, the Barber Motorsports Museum has motorcycle shelves. Imagine seeing this every morning...I don't think it would ever get old.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
More cool bikes...when was the last time you saw a Laverda Zeta? Or a Buell RR1200 Battletwin? (You can tell it's the early '90s 1200 by the color scheme, although to my knowledge, the Barber Museum also has an earlier RR1000.)Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
Here's a shot of the newest addition to the museum, which adds another 85,000 square feet to the already massive facility.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
It's a shame that all that new space was all for one car, however. Kidding, kidding...it's actually going to be filled with — any guesses? You got it, more motorcycles. It's a good time to be a motorcycle enthusiast.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
The 2.38-mile, 45-foot wide road racing track holds many different events, motorcycle racing being one of the most prominent.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
Well, I'll be honest, I'm not quite sure what's going on here, but whatever it is, I feel like I understand these strange, metal people.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
All good things must eventually come to an end, but luckily for you, the museum itself is open 7 days a week, from 10am until 6pm, and 12pm-6pm on Sundays.Photo: Barber Motorsports Park
