Yamaha's European TMAX scooter gets a thorough update for 2020, with its TMAX Tech MAX marking the height of comfort and convenience.
We outlined the finer details of the TMAX platform update in our first look at the TMAX 560, and all the changes are implemented in the TMAX Tech MAX as well. This includes Yamaha's new 562cc twin-engine, which provides better top-end performance and acceleration.
It also includes the heavily revised intake and exhaust systems, for Euro-5 compliance, revisions to the bodywork and lighting, as well as the transmission updates. All told, the 560 promises to be a lively, responsive, and nimble maxi scooter.
As the name suggests, the Tech MAX variant includes a number of technological upgrades not available on the base 560.
It’s designed to function with the MyTMAX Connect app, which provides detailed information regarding GPS tracking, battery condition, speed, trip reports, and geofence settings to the riders smartphone.
The MAX also comes with an electronically-adjustable windscreen as well as cruise control. When temperatures drop, heated grips and a heated seat will help to take the edge off.
Riders will also benefit from adjustable rear suspension, allowing them to account for the additional weight of a passenger or cargo.
The Tech MAX comes in either Tech Kamo or Sword Grey colorways, and the front forks feature a gold finish for a more refined look. The TMAX Tech MAX is expected to be available starting December 2019.
