Triumph has unveiled a limited edition 2020 Bobber Triumph Factory Custom at this year's EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The Bobber TFC has an impressive roster of upgrades that touch nearly every part of the motorcycle. Only 750 units will be created worldwide, and each will come with a special numbered plaque and an accessory pack including a hand-signed letter from Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, a custom build book, Bobber TFC bike cover, along with a TFC document wallet and leather TFC rucksack.
While the enhanced aesthetic of the Bobber TFC would be enough for it to stand out from the pack, a handful of mechanical refinements result in an improved performance package as well.
The engine receives a lighter crankshaft, clutch, balance shafts, alternator, magnesium cam cover and thin-walled engine covers. Triumph claims 10 more horsepower from the refined mill compared to the stock Bobber, as well as 3 more pound-feet of torque. The rev limiter is also 500 rpm higher than stock.
The exhaust silencers come from Arrow, complete with carbon fiber end-caps that tie in nicely with the blacked-out aesthetic of the bike.
Additionally, the Bobber TFC receives fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, front and rear, Brembo M50 radial monobloc calipers and a Brembo radial master cylinder.
Weight savings over stock, thanks to the engine components the addition of carbon fiber elements in key areas, is 11 pounds. However, Triumph won’t release the final weight, trail, rake, and seat height specs until hololgation in January 2020.
The Bobber TFC will feature Sport riding mode, giving it three total ride modes: Rain, Road, and Sport.
Triumph utilizes LED lighting throughout and upgraded the instrument panel to a TFC-branded unit that incorporates a digital menu system. The TFC also has ABS, traction control, and a torque-assist clutch.
As with all Triumph Factory Custom machines, the Bobber TFC is thoroughly upgraded in the looks department.
Carbon fiber side panels and mudguard supports incorporate with the knurled design of the handlebar grips, black engine covers, frame, anodized multi-spoke wheels, and swingarm. Billet aluminum is used for the yokes and oil reservoir cap. The Black and Matte Carbon Black colorway is accented by a silver foil Union Jack flag on the tank, with gold pinstriping and TFC logos adding some additional visual interest.
