2020 Arch KRGT-1 Preview

Arch Motorcycle shows off its latest V-twin power cruiser.

Arch Motorcycle has released a new version of its KRGT-1 power cruiser which includes a new swingarm, suspension, brakes, and redesigned bodywork. The 2020 Arch KRGT-1 still features a powerful 124ci S&S V-twin built exclusively for this motorcycle but it rolls on a revised chassis that incorporates the company's all-new billet aluminum swingarm. This tasty-looking piece of CNC-built beauty attaches to equally trick-looking mounting plates located at the rear of the frame, giving the KRGT-1 an even sportier appearance.

2020 Arch Motorcycle KRGT-1 Updates

Quality suspension components are standard with a new, fully adjustable 48mm Öhlins NIX fork and Öhlins adjustable rear shock. The brakes received an upgrade to its pair of massive two-piece front rotors that are now gripped by stronger radial-mount Monoblock ISR six-piston calipers with a Magura master cylinder up front and a Monoblock ISR four-piston caliper with single disc in the rear. Are these hard parts a little overkill for a cruiser? You bet. Everything about the KRGT-1 is designed to meld the comfort of a cruiser with the performance of a sportbike.

“The KRGT-1 was originally designed to realize the potential and push the boundaries of what an American V-twin motorcycle could offer,” Arch Motorcycle co-founder Gard Hollinger says. “Our new KRGT-1 stays true to the original objective while further developing and refining the motorcycle’s design and performance elements to enhance the overall riding experience.”

The concept behind Arch motorcycles includes custom-tailored ergonomic and aesthetic packages that are conceived and finalized along with the owner during the 90-day build process.Arch Motorcycles

The next notable revision is the altered appearance of the 2020 KRGT-1. An all-new front fairing is redesigned to accept the all-new dash configuration as well as new J.W. Speaker Adaptive 2 headlamp. A new aluminum fuel tank still offers a large 5 gallons of fuel capacity to feed the massive, fuel-injected V-twin. The seat and rear fender with its integrated LED taillight are also slightly updated while still managing to retain the similar appearance of the previous model.

“The new KRGT-1 delivers on Arch Motorcycle’s ambition: a beautiful and extraordinary machine that handles like no other motorcycle. Through the curves, down the straights, planted, confident, comfortable, it’s an unsurpassed riding experience,” Arch Motorcycle co-founder Keanu Reeves says. “The focus on fit and finish, the detail, the execution, the exceptional quality, how the bike is made defines Arch.”

Although there are three base models to choose from, each KRGT-1 will be unique to its owner. Everything from paint to riding position will be custom-tailored.Arch Motorcycles

Besides the big engine there are a few parts that carry over including the BST carbon fiber wheels (19 x 3.0-inch front, 18 x 8.0-inch rear) which are shod with Michelin Commander II tires and the stainless steel exhaust system that ends with a Yoshimura carbon fiber muffler emblazoned with the Arch logo. Are you noticing a trend? There are trick parts all over this motorcycle, and the more you look, the more you will be impressed. Keep in mind that every Arch motorcycle sold is custom fit to the owner over the course of its 90-day production period. During that time the new owner is able to decide on a myriad of customization options offered by Arch, which is why there is no set MSRP for us to report at this time.

The 2020 Arch KRGT-1 is available now.
