Suzuki's SV650 has been a perennial favorite for decades. It's won us over with the right combination of size, performance, and, of course, price. And for 2019 it offers a slightly different take on its tried-and-true midsize naked-bike platform, with a café-racer-inspired variation in the form of the SV650X.
The 2019 Suzuki SV650X features a triple-clamp-mounted fairing paired to more aggressive clip-on style handlebar, giving it a tastefully aggressive stance. Other details include a premium two-tone ribbed seat and a more sporty remote reservoir-type front brake master cylinder. It's propelled by a punchy 645cc V-twin that's both playful and efficient whether blasting around turns or running errands during the work week.
But will the SV650X’s more sporty demeanor add up to a more entertaining experience on the way to work? We’re about to find out in this episode of MC Commute. Tune in and watch us put it through its paces around town. After watching, sound off in the comments section below.
