Husqvarna is carving a niche in the street bike world with its ever growing line of motorcycles. For 2019 it offers something special with its flat track-inspired Svartpilen 701. Dressed in all black, the Black Arrow is made for urban motorcyclists that want to make a statement.
The Svartpilen 701 is based around its sister model, the Vitpilen 701. It shares the same compact 693cc water-cooled Single that pumps out nearly 69 horsepower and 49 pound-feet torque at the business end of the tire. The engine configuration allows for its slim size and the Svartplien weighs just 369 pounds with its 3.1-gallon fuel tank filled.
We sampled the Black Arrow earlier in the year during the 2019 Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 First Ride Review now we put it through its paces on our way to the Motorcyclist Magazine office in Southern California in this episode of MC Commute.
