2012 Suzuki Boulevard Review

Intro

The Suzuki Boulevard is a classically styled cruiser bike. With a laid-back stance, a broad saddle, and a resounding engine note, the Boulevard looks like a timeless classic that’s been embedded with performance and modern technology. There are three models in the 2012 Suzuki Boulevard line: Boulevard M109R, Boulevard S40, and Boulevard C50T Classic. The M109R Limited Edition is a variation on the M109R that features a custom paint job, while the C50T is a more luxuriously appointed version of the stripped-down C50T Classic. The M109R is the most formidable bike in the 2012 Suzuki Boulevard lineup. Its 109-cubic-inch fuel injected four-cylinder engine delivers exhilarating performance. Torque is massive from idle to maxed throttle and engine performance is optimized by the 2-into-1-into-2 stainless steel chrome exhaust system. The M109R and M109R Limited Edition are both built on a high-tensile double cradle steel frame designed to perform with agility while handling power and torque. The M109R is equipped with Suzuki’s electronic fuel injection system and is available in Glass Sparkle Black. The M109R Limited Edition matches the specs of the M109R very closely. The major difference is that the Limited Edition sports red bodywork with black colored wheels and final gear cases. The model also boasts white lens taillight and turn signals. The Limited Edition features a slightly more advanced chassis that makes it ideal for cruising around town or taking on extended highway journeys. It’s powered by the same 1783cc engine that the M109R is.

The 2012 Suzuki Boulevard S40 is a big single-cylinder road bike that also sports timeless cruiser styling. It’s got the same laid-back stance and broad saddle that practically defines the complete line of 2012 Suzuki Boulevards. However it’s smaller and more agile than the M109R and is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder engine. It’s got an electric starter and a precision electronic ignition system with maintenance-free battery. It also boasts distinct polished spoke wheels that further emphasize its classic look, as do its polished upper fork brackets, with their clear coat finish. The S40 has a tear drop-shaped fuel tank with a speedometer mounted on it and features custom flat handlebars that enhance its sporty appearance. The saddle is comfortable but sleek, ensuring maximum rider comfort while enhancing the S40’s streamlined profile. It’s got the same smooth-shifting five-speed constant mesh transmission that all 2012 Suzuki Boulevard models do.

The 2012 Suzuki Boulevard C50T Classic offers a good combination of performance and style. It’s got the laid-back stance, broad saddle, and engine rumble that say it’s a Boulevard. It also boasts a powerful fuel-injected, 45-degree V-twin engine that delivers massive torque. If you’re looking for exhilarating performance on the top-end the C50T Classic is the Boulevard for you. With its long and low rigid-look frame, the C50T Classic cuts a mean figure and the 805cc engine has the go to match the bike’s show. The C50T Classic is lighter than the standard 2012 Suzuki Boulevard C50T. This gives the classic a touch more agility around the turns and makes it more of an overall performer. Still the C50T is also a capable cruiser that’s powered by the same 805cc engine. It’s just outfitted more for comforts with added features such as an aerodynamic windshield and leather saddlebags that make it the ideal Boulevard cruiser for taking a long-distance highway trek.
