"This is my 2008 Kawasaki ZX-10R, the bike that has ultimately given me the confidence to go out and fulfill another dream of mine: going racing.

"Over the last six years commuting on a bike, I became more inspired and intrigued with the performance side of motorcycles. It was after my first track day at the Streets of Willow that I said, 'F*ck it, I'm going racing!' I didn't know how or when I would have the time, but I was going.

"I had been traveling across the country for most of 2008, which limited my time on a motorcycle. While I was traveling I was obsessing about what bike would be best-suited for me to get out to the track with. When I came across the ZX-10R online, it seemed like the right fit. Maybe it was the fond memories of being younger, of hopping on a KX250 and crashing my brains out, or simply that the bike seemed more advanced than the other brands. Regardless, I was drawn to the Kawasaki. The ZX-10R was completely revamped for '08, and it didn't hurt that it looked so badass! When I finished traveling, literally the first thing I did was pick up the bike.

"I had never been on anything so put-together, so confidence-inspiring. It made me feel like I could do anything. Ultimately, this machine could be used for good or for evil. On the street, probably evil, but on the track it's an angel-that is, if being an angel means giving you the self-assurance to keep twisting the throttle!

"Being a motorcycle enthusiast, racing has become the goal that I work toward, just as being a musician means getting out there and performing. Music and motorcycling parallel each other, just in different realities. Commitment, individualism, creativity and, most importantly, new friendships exist in both worlds. I have truly met the most amazing people because of motorcycles-whether it was a fellow motorcycle traveler searching for Native American jewelry at a roadside gift shop in Monument Valley, or the people who've helped me out so much racing. It has meant the world to me and will keep me on two wheels for the rest of my life."
