Consumers buy sport bikes for the speed, maneuverability, performance, and overall experience and thrill. This first generation Japanese-made sport motorcycle capitalizes on aerodynamic design and technology to surpass its competition in speed, maneuverability, comfort, noise, and fuel economy in 1999 and never looked back. The Suzuki Hayabusa continued boosting its horsepower, and was unsurpassed until the release of Kawasaki’s ZX14.

The 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa models’ closest outside competition are the Kawasaki sport bikes. Ducati and Yamaha also rank high in the sport bike category. However the more dynamic Suzuki sport models dominate the category, ranking No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6.
