THE FITH EDITION OF CENTOPASSI WILL TAKE PLACE FROM THE 17TH TO THE 21ST JULY 2007 ON THE EASTERN ALPS. THE OVERALL WINNER WILL WATCH LIVE THE FINAL ARRIVAL OF THE PARIGI-DAKAR 2008. This year, the motorcycling event dedicated to the riders who are eager to venture through mountain passes changes scenery, migrates from the Western Alps and also proposes a new first prize.
The 2007 edition of Centopassi begins!
2007 will see a decisive change of scenery . The route will be articulated in four legs of approximately 350km each which will unwind through the most thrilling roads and passes of the Eastern Alps and that have been selected to test the participants' riding skills and endurance.
In 2007 leg arrivals will be fixed at Bolzano and at the suggestive Slovenian town of Bled, a location which posses Hotel structures qualified to host the riders at its best and where the Centopassi Village will be set up. Riders and local public will be welcomed by entertainment activities, music and motorbike exhibitions.On the 17th July, participants will meet up at Bolzano for the final registration and technical briefing, and on the 18th depart towards Bled (Slovenia)The preview of the legs, to date are:

Centopassi was born in 2003, its aim was to launch a challenge to all motorcyclists enthusiastic about mountain riding. The past four ardent editions have seen the event grow and refine its philosophy: an engaging appointment from the riding perspective that creates great emotions, thrills, fun and team spirit. The event is open to the participation of motorcycle brands, registered from 1980 onwards and with a minimum of 150 cc. The two classes of participation - Competition and Iron Biker - offer the possibility of choosing between a competitive or tourist mode, and are characterised as follows:
Class Competition participants may take part individually or as part of a team of 3/4 riders. It is not a speed race, but requires riders to follow very demanding routes recommended for expert riders. During each leg, participants are subject to time checks and must undertake ability trials that evaluate their precision and equilibrium.
Class Iron Biker: This class is for those riders who prefer a non-competitive experience and want to take in the stunning scenery, historic villages and overall flavour of the Italian and Slovenian mountain atmosphere. Expert motorcycle guides from the Curve&Tornanti; Team will lead this group, offering tips on mountain riding.Centopassi is organized by Dream Engine, under the aegis of Federazione Motociclistica Italiana, and the technical collaboration of the Curve&Tornanti; team and of the'Auto Moto Club Viterbo and also relies on the support of the technical sponsoro Tucano Urbano.
The event will end in high tone with the prize giving ceremony on the 21st July, during which the best overall rider in the Competition Class will be awarded the new first prize, that will certainly quench the thirst for adventure that lies within every true motorcyclist: a travel package and accommodation to watch the final arrival of the Paris Dakar 2008. The package includes the flight, four days and three nights (full board) and the unique possibility to watch live the final arrival of the race at Lac Rose, as well as to discover the wonders of the Senegalese capital.
